22 November  2013: “Explanation and Prediction in the Social Sciences”, Columbia University Epidemiology Scientific Symposium (CUESS), NYC

This event is part of a symposium series dedicated to exploring cutting edge scientific topics in epidemiology and population health.  This invitation-only series brings together leaders in the field and aims to both explore the state-of-the science and to push the research agenda forward. The symposium, Explanation and prediction in the social sciences, will be co-sponsored by the International Philosophy of Medicine Roundtable, and will take place on November 22, 2013 from 8:30 – 5:00 at Columbia University.

23-24 November 2013: Philosophy of Medicine Roundtable, NYC

This two-day conference continues a series of philosophy of medicine meetings at University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2005 and 2008, Erasmus University, Rotterdam, in 2009 and the University of the Basque Country, San Sebastian, in 2011.
